Profile

Karl has focused his practice on national and international arbitrations, both commercial and investment, based in various forums (ICSID, Permanent Court of Arbitration, ICC, CAM Santiago), and in litigation, mainly in the field of construction, oil and gas, energy, mining and financing.

Previously, Karl worked in the arbitration team of the international firm King & Spalding in New York. He was also a senior associate in the PPU arbitration team. Karl has a Master of Laws (LLM) from Harvard University.

Karl has taught classes in Civil, Administrative, and Constitutional Law courses at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. In addition, he has publications, in Chile and abroad, on international arbitration, electrical contracts and civil liability. Karl is Chile’s representative of the Latin American Arbitration Association.
